My late grandmother, whom we affectionately called, Nanay (means "mother" in Tagalog), was a renowned green thumb. Her garden was frequently featured in her hometown local newspaper. My mother followed suit with a green thumb of her own and I'd like to think the same of myself, as well. There's lots to learn and I love delivering a good dose of knowledge-share with other planty people.
My fascination for nature solidified during 9th grade biology. I continued on to study biology at university and have enjoyed a career in the life sciences since. My approach to houseplant care is part passion and scientific. Plants brighten up a home but they're beyond decor--they're complex living organisms like us. Understanding the beauty behind that will change your relationship with plants.
